Smart lighting control: comfort, safety and lower consumption

Well-designed lighting is about more than whether a room is lit. In a BARAQ smart home, the lights adapt to the time of day, to what you’re doing and to whether anyone is home. The result: comfort, easier orientation and fewer circuits left on for nothing.

Scenes instead of individual switches

Morning mode, cooking, work, an evening wind-down or a night-time trip down the hallway. Each situation needs a different brightness and different lighting circuits. With scenes, one touch on ioSWIPE or in the app sets the whole space at once.

  • Comfort: the lights respond to what you’re actually doing, not just to one switch.
  • Overview: you control a room, a floor or the whole house from one place.
  • Simplicity: everyday scenarios are ready at a touch.

Dimming and night mode

Dimmable circuits via ioDALI help keep a pleasant mood without harsh light. At night the system can light just a faint guide path, so it doesn’t disturb anyone’s sleep and you can still move around the house safely.

How the DALI bus helps

DALI is a digital bus designed for lighting control. In practice it lets you address individual lights or groups, store scenes and change how the controls work, without every change meaning a new cable to the switch. What matters most to you is that the lights can be ready for finer dimming, scenes and future changes.

Automation that saves attention as well as energy

Lights can switch off in empty rooms, respond to movement or join in with away mode. You don’t have to manage every circuit by hand, and the house doesn’t keep lights on where nobody is.

The biggest gain comes from connecting things. Lighting, shading, sensors and scenarios work as one system, not as separate technologies side by side.

When to plan the lighting

The ideal time is before the electrical design. Designing early settles which circuits should be dimmable, where the controls go and which scenes will genuinely be useful for your family. The lighting plan has to be closed before the rough-in at the latest. Every light needs its own line: a dedicated cable or the DALI bus.
